Wednesday marked the first time since Christmas Eve (which sounds odd in its own right) that our temperatures rose above 50 degrees. Saginaw, Mount Pleasant, Bay City, Midland, Oscoda, just to name a few, saw the mercury climb into the low 50s.

So, how long can a good thing like this last? Fortunately for us, at least a few more days!

Thursday will offer up a repeat performance of sun-filled skies and mild readings in the middle 40s. Widespread 50s are expected again on Friday with a bit more in the way of passing clouds.

Friday night, clouds will likely increase as another storm system rises out of the Gulf of Mexico, and takes a jog toward the northeastern U.S. Like Tuesday's system, the bulk of it is expected to steer just south and east of Michigan. However, this time around, there does appear to be at least a small chance that we will get clipped by some of the storm's moisture on Saturday. This could give us a round of scattered showers, or even a little bit of mixed precipitation, but chances still appear to be low.

Following that, another stretch of dry weather takes over from Sunday through Wednesday with another run at the low 50s expected on Monday.
