Sunshine and mild temps for Thursday

Posted: Updated:
SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

Early morning lows are on the chilly side, dipping into the low 20s. Outlying locations to the north have seen temperatures dip into the low teens or even single-digits.

High pressure will continue to slide east of the region on Thursday, making room for a bit more in the way of passing clouds.

Sunshine should still be plentiful, along with high temperatures in the middle 40s.

Areas closer to Lake Huron will likely be affected by a lake breeze again, keeping highs closer to the middle and upper 30s.

Clouds will continue to increase on Thursday night with the approach of a storm system from the south.

As with the past few similar system, most of the moisture should steer away from Mid-Michigan, but there will be at least a slight chance for a stray flurry early Friday morning.

Skies during the day will remain mostly cloudy, but things will turn a bit milder as highs approach 50 degrees.

Another weak system will skirt by to our north on Saturday, bringing another chance for a few showers or flurries.

This system will usher in a brief cool down on Sunday and Monday with highs only reaching the middle and upper 30s.
