A beautiful Sunday across Mid-Michigan may have given you a little bit of a jolt as you stepped out the door today. High pressure offered up another day of bright sunshine, but brought our temperatures well down below their seasonal averages. This was especially true closer to the shores of Lake Huron, where some locations did not even make it out of the upper 20s!

While our weather will remain quiet as we prepare to begin the new work week, today began what will be a week-long ride on the temperature roller coaster. Overnight lows on Sunday will once again dip into the middle and low teens, along with a slight increase in cloud cover.

A disturbance that brought snow and freezing rain to parts of Minnesota on Sunday will slip by just to our south tomorrow, under the same zone of high pressure that brought us our clear skies. The few spill over clouds we see will begin to gradually decrease in the afternoon, but highs will remain chilly in the middle 30s once again.

Temperatures will begin to climb on Tuesday with another day of mostly sunny skies. High will come up just about to their seasonal averages in the low 40s. This push of milder air will be the precursor to a storm system that will arrive on Wednesday. Temperatures will continue to climb for the middle of the week, and we will likely see our first soaking rain of the year throughout the day.

Wednesday's temperatures in the 50s will be the peak of the climb before we slide back down the hill into the 40s on Thursday, and 30s again on Friday.

Things look like they will stabilize for the start of next weekend, with plenty of sunshine and highs returning to the 40s.
