1 man sentenced in home invasion

FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

One man entered a plea, charges were dismissed against another in a home invasion investigation.

On Feb. 25, 2015 a home on Flint's west side was broken into.

Police said the suspects were armed with handguns and fired shots while attempting to rob the people inside. No one was hurt.

Alsaville Choate, 20, and Malik Tyler, 19, were arrested.

Choate entered a guilty plea to Armed Robbery, 1st Degree Home Invasion, Felony Firearm and Carrying a Firearm with Unlawful Intent. He was sentenced to 12-22 years in prison.

Charges against Tyler were dismissed.
