Travis Mills celebrates 3rd Alive Day anniversary

Posted: Updated:
SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) - Travis Mills, the Mid-Michigan native who lost portions of all four limbs while serving in Afghanistan back in 2012 is celebrating the third anniversary of his Alive Day.

An Alive Day is the anniversary of a day that you came close to death. The Vassar native is just one of five quadruple amputees to survive his injuries.

Mills now lives in a specially designed home and is a motivational speaker and advocate for veterans and amputees.

The Travis Mills Foundation has purchased the historic Maine Chance Lodge with the intention of transforming it into a fully accessible veterans family retreat.

You can donate though the Travis Mills Foundation website, or www.gofundme.com/TravisMills.
