CHICAGO (AP) -- Detroit Tigers right-hander Justin Verlander is awaiting the results of his third MRI for his strained right triceps. Verlander had the test on Tuesday on Chicago. He is hoping the inflammation has subsided enough to allow him to increase his throwing program. Verlander began the season on the disabled list, and then cut short a simulated game due to fatigue and soreness. The 2011 AL MVP says he feels "a little bit better." He also says he hopes to start throwing again soon. The AL Central-leading Tigers were in Chicago on Tuesday for the opener of a three-game set against the White Sox.
