Officials release name of 6-year-old drowning victim

KOCHVILLE TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) - Saginaw County Sheriff's department has released the name of the child who drowned yesterday while on an outing with his parents.

Officials tell us 6-year-old Jayden Humes, of Saginaw, died yesterday in a pond at Krossroads Park near Wal-Mart in Kochville Township.

Humes was reported missing by a family member around 5:30 yesterday evening. During the search his body was found in one of the ponds at the park.

Township manager, Steve King, tells us that Krossroads park will remain closed until further notice, pending the investigation.
