Bridge beam setting could impact your commute

AUBURN, MI (WNEM) -

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is scheduled to complete bridge work on the 9 Mile Road bridge over westbound US-10. Crews will be setting bridge beams during this time.

The work is scheduled to get underway at 9 p.m. Thursday in that area of Bay County. The nearest city is Auburn. It's scheduled to be finished by six a.m. Friday.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS:

Westbound US-10 will be detoured during beam setting:

- Mackinaw Road (Exit 137) south to Salzburg Road

- Salzburg Road west to Garfield Road

- Garfield Road north back to US-10 (Exit 132)

Eastbound US-10 motorists can expect single-lane closures to remain in effect.
