Multiple outlets are reporting that Saginaw native Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors have broken off contract talks, for now. The former MSU star is a restricted free agent who is seeking a new contract. He is now free to negotiate with other teams. The Pistons are among a handful of teams rumored to be interested in signing Green. If Green signs an offer sheet, the Warriors will have the opportunity to match that deal and keep Green.
The 25-year old is coming off his best season in the NBA, with career highs in points, rebounds, assists, and minutes played. Green put up a triple-double in the Warriors Game 6 NBA championship-clinching win in Cleveland last month.
