It's not just locals staking out a spot in Winona Park for the fireworks show, it’s out-of-towners too

A couple from Striker, Ohio, traveled over the border from the Buckeye State to watch the Bay City fireworks.  Wolverine fans will enjoying hearing this.

Well the fireworks won't be the only thing booming this weekend these downtown Bay City businesses will be too.

Steven Frye owns the St Laurent Brothers Famous Candy Shop in downtown Bay City.  He says the all this tourism during the Fourth of July holiday can mean big bucks for his business.

"Each night will increase in volume of business and volume of people it’s a great thing for our community," Frye said.

He's not the one whose business is making out.

Elaine Fournier owns several local Bay City businesses including the Atrium Cafe.

"Can't help but spend money when you come to a city like this," Fournier said.

Many of those tourists agree, like Jennifer Stover.

"We just hit up the antique shops and we just stay down the road and check out the restaurants," Stover said.
