DAVISON TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

"I love you Mars. I want you to come back," said Khisha Humphrey.

Fighting back tears, Omarion Humphrey’s biological mom holds out hope her son will make it home safely. Mars has been living with a foster family.

"It's been horrible because I don't know where my son is at, he's never run off before,” Humphrey said. “I think somebody took him, I don't think he would run out the park like that."

Police and hundreds of volunteers have searched the area around Davison Township's Lake Callis Park high and low.

Mars vanished on July 4 around 6 p.m. and so far, there has been no trace of him.

Davison Township Police Chief Rick Freeman isn’t dismissing any possibilities.

"I haven't ruled out anything. We are going into this with an open mind like we do any investigation,” Freeman said. “It would be negligent on our part to rule out anything at this point."

As for Mars' birth mom, she has a message for all the police and volunteers who have been combing the woods and lakes, looking for her little boy.

"Thank you so much,” Humphrey said. “I appreciate all the help, everyone coming out looking for him. And everything like that. God bless all of them."
