Police ID 2 killed in multi-vehicle accident

SAGINAW COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Two people were killed and three others were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon.

The crash happened about 4 p.m. when a car crossed the center line on Gratiot in Saginaw Township. The car collided with another vehicle, police said.

The driver, Marci Barclay, 35, of Owosso, and Robert Gross III, 31, of Chesaning, were killed in the car that crossed the line. A passenger in that car and the two passengers in the car that was hit were taken to the hospital. There is no word on their condition.

Three other vehicles were also involved in the crash, police said.

Gratiot Road, also known as M-46, was closed in both directions between Center and Midland Roads.

The crash is being investigated by the Saginaw County Accident Investigation Team to determine the cause of the crash.
