Search for Omarion Humphrey expands into neighborhoods

DAVISON TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

Knocking on doors, combing through back years and neighborhood streets, police and search crews aren’t leaving any stone unturned in the search for 9 year-old Omarion Humphrey.

“It’s pretty amazing, I’ve never been more proud of our law enforcement,” said Victoria Flynn.

Neighbors like Flynn try to be optimistic that young Omarion will be found safe.  Especially now that crews have expanded their search area, covering a 5-mile radius from where the missing autistic boy was last seen.

"We've seen police and other people with uniforms walking down the street, checking yards,” said neighbor Vicki Delay. “They came to our house this morning."

While crews continue to canvas the area, many neighbors here say they're checking their own yards, garages and sheds. Anywhere that a scared boy might be hiding, clinging to hope he'll turn up unharmed.

“It’s almost like we're expecting him to just walk out of the woods or something,” Delay said.
