Is it safe to drink the tap water in Flint? Some residents don’t think so.

So Flint residents have asked TV5 to put Flint Mayor Dayne Walling to the test.

On Thursday, TV5 anchor Colette Boyd filled up a cup of tap water from our bureau in downtown Flint, and had the mayor drink it.

Walling tipped the cup back, and said the water is safe to drink. "It's your standard tap water. You can taste a little bit of the chlorine," Walling said.

Walling says he drinks the water every day.
