ISABELLA COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Two people accused of shoplifting are also slapped with drug charges.

It happened Thursday, July 9, in Isabella County.

Deputies say 2 people, 25-year-old Zachary Thompson from Harrison, and 19-year-old Autumn Wonsey from Lake were detained after allegedly trying to steal multiple things from the Wal-Mart at 4730 Encore Boulevard in Union Township.

When officers tried to take them into custody, Thompson took off, but was later caught.

Investigators were given permission to search the pair’s car, and found a bottle containing methamphetamine. They also found other ingredients to make the drug.

Both were arraigned Friday afternoon.
