$2,500 reward offered for information in 2005 murder

FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

Crime Stoppers are offering an award for information leading to an arrest for a 2005 murder.

James Frye Jr., 52, was shot and killed about 6:15 p.m. on Oct. 21, 2005. The shooting happened on the 3600 block of Forest Hill Drive in Flint.

After the shooting two men were seen running from the scene. They were heading north on Forest Hill, Crime Stopper said.

One suspect is a black male, 40-years-old, 6 feet tall and weighs about 180 pounds. The other suspect is a 20-year-old black male, about 5’10” and weighs 170 pounds.

The second suspect has thin facial hair, light complexion, was wearing all black clothes with a black do-rag and black baseball cap, Crime Stoppers said.

A silver colored belt buckle with writing was left at the scene. It is believed to be from one of the suspects, Crime Stoppers said.

Anyone with information regarding the murder is urged to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $2,500 for information leading to an arrest.
