SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

The people who live on Annesley Street like it tidy, including Exie Robinson.

"We just trying to keep our neighborhood up, and keep it clean," Robinson said.

But there are some neighborhood pests making that tough.

"We're getting all these crazy animals in our neighborhood, destroying houses," Robinson said.

Robinson showed us the damage that’s been done to her home.

"It's like the jungles, I have animals going underneath my house, they've torn up my wiring, they've torn up my shed, everything," Robinson said.

She said the costly problem should be taken care of, but it isn’t being addressed.

"They keep saying, we're going to clean it up, we're going to clean it up, but they've never made that attempt," Robinson said.

This property near her home is what she calls the perfect nest for the pests. The owner piled up a bunch of junk, and she says as it accumulated. The neighborhood infestation just got worse.

"Groundhogs, groundhogs, possums, and field rats, field rats," Robinson said.

Recently, the man who owned the land died and Robinson has tried to get the property cleaned up.

Tonight TV5 spoke to the city's chief inspector John Stemple to find out what the delay was.

He said the property has been ticketed and the city is waiting for a judge to sign a court order so the city can clean it up.

But the death of the owner has slowed the process.

Meanwhile, Robinson said she’s waiting for the day when the neighborhood pests are kicked out for good.

"City, please clean it up," Robinson said.
