The Great Lakes Loons clinched a spot in the upcoming Midwest League Playoffs at the end of the 1st half of the season. It will be the fourth postseason appearance for the Loons in the nine-year history of the franchise, following playoff runs in 2009 and 2010, as well as a series in 2013.
The Loons will begin their 2015 playoff campaign at Dow Diamond on Wednesday, September 9 against the Lansing Lugnuts. Game time is 7:05 p.m. The Loons will play games two and three of the three-game series on the road.
It will be Hump Day Happy Hour at the ballpark with $2 select domestic drafts available from 6-8 p.m. There will also be a Fireworks Loontacular powered by Dow Corning following the conclusion of the game.
For the postseason, premiere box seats (the first few rows of each section) are available for purchase at $13.50 per ticket. Reserved box seats are available for $10.50 and lawn seats are available for $7.50. Great Lakes clinched a playoff spot by finishing in second place in the Midwest League Eastern Division at the end of the 1st half with a 38-30 record. Lansing clinched the top spot in the division at 42-28. The Quad Cities River Bandits and Cedar Rapids Kernels earned the two spots in the Western Division.
