SANILAC COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

A 69-year-old, partially blind woman has been found after going missing Sunday.

Hazel (Lynne) Ricketts was last seen walking in the area of Arnold and Severance Roads in Sanilac County around noon on July 26.

“I am thankful for such a positive outcome and for all the teamwork shown by the assisting agencies and volunteers,” said Sheriff Biniecki.

She was found at around 3:25 p.m. Monday, about three miles from her home, sitting in a cornfield off Severance Road.

The Sanilac County Sheriff’s Department reports she is being treated for dehydration, but was alert and conscious when found.

Officials were looking for her because family said it was unusual for her to be away from home for as long as she was.
