SANILAC COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Two people were injured in a head-on collision Sunday afternoon.

The accident happened about 5:35 p.m. in Sanilac County on M-25, just north of Fisher Road in Worth Township.

A 22-year-old Port Huron male was driving a 2007 Pontiac G6 northbound on M-25 when he crossed the center line and struck a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze, police said.

The Cruze was driven by a 59-year-old Fort Gratiot woman. Her 62-year-old husband was a passenger.

They were both taken to McLaren Port Huron Hospital for treatment, police said.

The 22-year-old driver and his passenger, a 20-year-old male from Clyde, were treated at the scene.

Police believe everyone involved was wearing seat belts and the airbags in both vehicles deployed.

The 22-year-old driver was arrested at the scene on charges related to the accident, police said.

The accident is under investigation.
