SANILAC COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Three people were transported to the hospital after they were involved in a roll-over accident.

The accident happened on Sheldon Road near Shabbona Road in Sanilac County’s Argyle Township about 9:30 p.m. on July 29.

A 36-year-old female was driving southbound on Sheldon Road when she lost control, ran off the roadway causing the vehicle to roll over, police said.

The vehicle rolled over multiple times before it came to a rest on its roof.

There were two other occupants in the vehicle, a 23-year-old male and a 37-year-old male.

The driver, a Sandusky area resident, was taken to McKenzie Hospital for treatment of her injuries. The 23-year-old passenger, from Deckerville, was also transported to McKenzie.

The 37-year-old passenger, from Sandusky, was taken to Deckerville where a Life Net Helicopter transported him to Covenant Hospital in Saginaw, police said.

The names of the residents involved are being withheld pending possible criminal charges.

Alcohol and speed are believed to be a factor in the crash, police said.

The accident is still under investigation.
