LAPEER COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Police have arrested a suspect who is accused of a drive by shooting in Lapeer County on Friday.

Kyle Spohn, 18, of Davison allegedly fired multiple shots while he drove by a home on Forest Avenue in Otter Lake, police said.

No one was injured during the incident.

A Lapeer County sheriff’s deputy was in the area when the 911 calls came in. He encountered Spohn’s vehicle and followed him into northern Genesee County where a backup unit was in position, police said.

The deputies performed a traffic stop and arrested Spohn without incident.

There was a social gathering on Forest Avenue prior to the shooting. Spohn, who used to live on Otter Lake, was asked the leave, police said.

About a half hour later is when Spohn returned and allegedly fired shots from his vehicle while driving by the residence numerous times, police said.

There were numerous people standing outside during the shooting. The house and a vehicle parked out front were damaged by the shots.

Spohn is being charged with four counts of assault with intent to murder, four counts of felony firearm, discharging a firearm at a building, discharging a firearm from a vehicle and operating while intoxicated.

He is lodged at the Lapeer County Jail on a $750,000 bond.

His next scheduled court case is Aug. 14.
