It’s time to get back to the bricks!

This year marks the 11th annual Back to the Bricks car cruise in the Flint area. The main event takes place on Saginaw Street in downtown Flint and draws car enthusiasts from all over.

When the event first started in 2005 it was a one day event with only a few hundred cars and spectators. Now, it has grown to a five day event with hundreds of thousands of spectators and thousands of cars.

Event schedule

Friday: Back to the Bricks Cruise "N" Concert from 2-8:30 p.m.

Saturday: Unveiling of the Albert Champion Statue at 10 a.m.

Back to the Bricks kicks off Aug. 11 and runs through Aug. 15.

However, the event isn’t just for car enthusiasts. There’s also live music, food, movies and several displays.
