Police asking parents to help curb underage drinking

Posted: Updated:
GRAND BLANC TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

A string of underage parties have led to 20 arrests.

Grand Blanc Township police posted to their Facebook page to address these parties and encourage parents to help curb underage drinking.

“As summer winds down and students are getting ready to return to college or high school, we want to remind parents to please talk with your teenagers about the importance of not drinking and the consequences if they do,” police said.

Police said targeting underage drinking helps prevent more serious crimes and protect teenagers.

Police encouraged anyone with information on parties with underage drinking to call (810) 424-2611 or to contact police via Facebook.
