ANN ARBOR, MI (WNEM) -

Michigan cities have been finding themselves at the top of some pretty negative lists lately.

Now, two Michigan cities have found themselves at the top of a pretty good list, the most educated cities list.

University of Michigan fans will be happy to hear Ann Arbor was ranked the most educated city in America in the new WalletHub study.

The percentage of bachelor’s degree holders aged 25 and older in Ann Arbor is four times higher than in Vasalia, Calif., the 149th ranked city, according to WalletHub.

Ann Arbor also has six times the amount of graduate or professional degree holders in the same age group compared to Brownsville, Texas. Brownsville was ranked the least educated city out of the 150 listed.

Ann Arbor was ranked first for education level and fourth for quality of education and attainment gap.

Lansing and East Lansing were ranked eighth overall. However, the Spartan town was ranked first for quality and education and attainment gap. Take that Michigan fans!

The city finished in 15 for education level.

Other Michigan cities on the list include Grand Rapids/Wyoming at 63, Detroit/Warren/Dearborn at 70, and Flint at 116.
