Drug overdose results in two arrests, one in serious condition

HURON COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Early Wednesday morning, an 18-year-old woman was taken to Huron Medical Center after an apparent drug overdose. 

The Bad Axe woman was later taken to a Saginaw-area hospital and placed on life support. 

A police investigation lead to the arrest of a 33-year-old Sandusky man and a 22-year-old Sandusky woman. 

Police said they seized small amounts of marijuana, heroin and prescription drugs in their investigation.

Police said since July 4, several drug overdoses have occurred in Huron County, leaving three people dead and one person in serious condition. Heroin, Phentenol, ketamine and Xanax were all involved in the overdoses.

Anyone with information on illicit activity is encouraged to contact police.
