CLAYTON TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

Police are looking for a man who they claim took rent money for a home that did not belong to him.

A vacant home in the area of Lennon and Duffield in Genesee County’s Clayton Township was listed for sale.

A man who did not own the home allegedly advertised the home for rent and took a $4,700 deposit from the victims, police said.

The suspect is described as a white male with possible middle eastern decent. He’s in his mid-40s, 6’ tall, has a beer belly and dark hair.

He could be from the Owosso or Durand area because he spoke of frequenting bars there, police said.

He drove a newer light blue Buick Lesabre with an AAA Insurance sticker in the lower passenger window, police said.

If you have any information on the identification of this man contact the Clayton Township Police Department at 810-635-3230.
