FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

Less than four years after the death of his cousin, Javonte Richard was shot dead during a neighborhood gathering.

Now the family is asking for help solving both cases.

"I know somewhere out there someone knows what happen to both of these young men," said Peggy Richard.

Peggy Richard is a grandmother pleading and convinced, as well as other members of her family, that someone has answers.

The Richard family is searching for information through Crime Stoppers, hoping to find answers to the murders of two their own, Curtis Richard, 23, and Javonte Richard, 26, who killed on August 15.

Their mysterious deaths share a lot more than familial connections. Curtis Richard was found dead on the northside of Flint on Nov. 17, 2011. Javonte Richard died less than two miles away.

The family said they don’t believe the two deaths are connected, but they are desperate for some closure.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
