Authorities looking into a long-unsolved homicide are asking for help to identify skeletal remains that were found in the Detroit area in 1997.
The Detroit Free Press reports the remains were found wrapped in carpet by railroad tracks in Plymouth Township. Police believe the remains are that of a white man who was in the military, and was wearing blue shorts and white tube socks that said "USA 80" for the 1980 Olympics.
The man would have been between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-9, and would be 50 to 70 years old now.
People with information can call Plymouth Township police or Crime Stoppers.
