SAGINAW COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

A chase complete with suspects throwing items out the window along I-75 ends with one person in custody, and one still on the run in connection with a break-in.

It all started Saturday at 5:45 p.m. in the 10000 block of East Townline Roadhttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/icon1.png in Birch Run Township. Investigators say a resident arrived home and found two men coming from behind the home. The resident then noticed property being removed from the detached garage. Once confronted, the suspects took off in a blue SUV that was parked in the driveway.

A Birch Run officer spotted the men and their vehicle along SB I-75 and tried to stop them. As the officer followed the suspects, the officer claims they were throwing items out of the car.

The officer followed the vehicle until the suspects exited at M-57. That’s when investigators say the suspect in the passenger side jumped out and ran into the woods behind the Conlee gashttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/icon1.png station at Vienna Road and Linden Road in Vienna Township.

The driver, 33-year-old Marcus Millard from Mt. Morris, kept going. He made several turns until he was finally stopped at Stanley and Jennings Road. He tried to run, but was stopped by a K-9 officer.

A K-9 attempted to follow the trail of the other suspect, but lost it. He has now been identified as Paul Taylor Rogers. He's 6'2" and weighs 160 pounds with track marks on both arms. He was last seen wearing a black plaid long sleeve shirt in the city of Clio. Rogers is on circuit court probation through Tuscola County. He is possibly staying in the east side Flint area. He also has ties to Millington and Vassar.

Millard has been charged with multiple counts including home invasion, conspiracy breaking and entering and fleeing a police officer.

Jewelry and electronics were taken from the homehttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/icon1.png.
