US Marshals arrest suspect in local murder

FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

After more than two months of searching, US Marshals have taken a murder suspect into custody.

On Aug. 11, Jarrett Kent, 26, was shot multiple times on the 2200 block of Devon Lane in Flint about 1 a.m.

He was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries, police said.

Deshawn Tiggs, 20, was arrested for first degree murder and felony firearm.

Tiggs was also charged in two other cases that included first degree home invasion, two counts of felonious assault, armed robbery, assault with intent to murder and felony firearm.

Jamarr McKenzie, 23, was also arrested in connection to Kent’s murder.

McKenzie has been charged for lying to a police officer in a violent crime investigation.

After months of searching, Savon Johnson, 22, is in custody after being found in Detroit.

Johnson was wanted for first degree murder, felon in possession of a firearm, and felony firearm.
