MICHIGAN, (WNEM) -

Almost 90,000 pounds of pork sausage patty products are being recalled because there may be small pieces of metal in them.

The recall impacts Johnsonville Grillers cheddar cheese and bacon flavor produced on May 13, 2015, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Safety and Inspection Service said.

The recall is for the 24 ounce cartons and the 13.5 pound cases of the product.

The products establishment number is 425B and the best flavor by date is Dec. 29, 2015.

The items were shipped to Arkansas, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Illinois, Iowa, Texas and Wisconsin, according to the USDA.

The recall occurred after Kenosha Beef International LTD received consumer complaints of small metal pieces being found in the products, the USDA said.

There have not been any reports of injury or illness from these products, the USDA said.

Consumers should throw away the recalled product or return it to the store.
