Authorities say a 4-year-old boy who was pulled from a swimming pool in suburban Detroit earlier this week has died.
The Oakland County sheriff's department says the Holly Township boy was found floating in the pool on Tuesday in Independence Township.
The department says adults had finished a water aerobics class and children were swimming in the shallow end of the pool. Investigators were told that the boy removed his life jacket, got out the pool and said he was done swimming, but later was found in the deep end.
The department says the boy was taken to a hospital and died on Thursday. His name wasn't immediately released. An autopsy was planned Friday.
