3 injured in overnight shootings

FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

Three people were injured in three separate shooting incidents in the overnight hours between Thursday and Friday.

A 20-year-old was shot in the face on Carpenter Road near Summit.

The victim told police he was driving when unknown suspects pulled in front of his vehicle and stopped. They got out and started shooting at him, police said.

The victim is listed in good condition and no arrests have been made.

In a separate incident, a 14-year-old girl was lying in bed when she heard gunshots. It was then that she realized she had been shot in the back, police said.

Police responded to the scene and discovered that several apartments at 2700 Ridgecrest Court had been struck with bullets.

Another shooting happened on Foss Avenue.

In this incident a man was walking his dog when he was allegedly approached by an unknown male who pulled a gun and attempted to rob him, police said.

The victim told police he grabbed the gun and struggled with the suspect.

The gun fired and the bullet hit the victim in the hand.

He went to the hospital and is listed in good condition.
