Michigan is among the top 10 least happy states in America.

That’s according to a new study by WalletHub.

The study used 25 different factors to determine the states’ rankings. Some of the factors included emotional health, income levels and sports participation rates.

Michigan ranked 42 out of 51. The study also included the District of Columbia.

The Mitten State ranked 31 for safety, 25 for divorce, 37 for obesity and 50 for income growth.

The study gave Michigan an emotional and physical well-being rate of 41. Followed by a work environment rate of 25 and a community, environment and recreational activities rate of 43.

Although, Michigan had at least one good thing going for it on the happiness scale. Michigan tied for fourth place with Massachusetts for the lowest number of work hours, according to the study.

The happiest state is Utah and the least happy state is West Virginia, according to the study.
