Red Wings players join in physical therapy session

Posted: Updated:

Four guys were a welcome sight to some folks who have had a rough time lately.

Red Wings players Luke Glendening, Darren Helm, Brian Lashoff and Riley Sheahan joined in for a physical therapy session with patients at Mid-Michigan Health Center.

The players loved meeting with folks.

"Even though we play a sport and kind of get knocked around you see everyday people having to deal with and it's pretty amazing most of those people are a little older than us and you can see how tough they are two days out of surgery," Sheahan said.

The patients said this was a bright spot on a day that normally, probably would be a little bit dark.

"It's cool, it was nice, we got a chance to let them get tortured too," said Sandy Morrison.

Before leaving the players signed autographs and had their picture taken with the patients, a visit you can bet these folks will never forget.
