Local planetarium hosts lunar eclipse viewing party

The Longway Planetarium is hosting a viewing party for the supermoon eclipse on Sunday, Sept. 27.

Attendees will have a chance to check out the eclipse through the planetarium's telescopes. 

The event is free, but it's limited to the first 125 participants. The viewing party starts at 8:30 p.m. and the full eclipse is expected to start at 10:11 p.m.

The planetarium is located at 1310 E. Kearsley St. in Flint.
