KALAMAZOO, MI (WNEM) -

Rebekka Garvison is a new mom from Kalamazoo.

Her husband Nick Garvison is in the U.S. Army and stationed in Fort Rucker, Alab. Rebekka was planning a surprise trip with their baby.

While on the plane Rebekka shared a special moment with a stranger.

“…next thing I know I was sitting next to this amazing woman! I'm not sure if she could tell how stressed and upset I looked or what, but she turned our day completely around. Rylee wouldn't stop crying no matter what I would try and do....so she had asked if I didn't mind if she tried and of course I let her. As soon as she had her, Rylee was looking out the window and stopped crying,” Rebekka posted on her Facebook page.

Rylee slept in the stranger’s arms the entire flight, according to Rebekka’s Facebook post.

Her post has been shared more than 80,000 times since being posted on Sept. 24.
