Glow in the dark turtle spotted in the ocean

SOLOMON ISLANDS, CNN -

Forget the nightlight, maybe you just need to get your kid one of these.

A glow-in-the-dark sea turtle was caught on video off the Soloman Island in the South Pacific.

It’s the first reptile seen with bio-fluorescence.

That’s the ability to reflect the blue light of the ocean as a different color.

A scientist researching sharks and coral reefs with bio-fluorescence was using a specially outfitted camera when this neon guy swam by.

The phenomenon isn’t the same as bio-luminescence, that’s the ability to actually emit light through chemical reactions.
