MAYVILLE, MI (WNEM) -

Police have found the man with the starting stages of dementia who went missing Tuesday night.

Charles Fackler, 71, went missing from Mayville Tuesday night. He failed to return home after traveling to Decker to have coffee with an in-law.

He was wearing blue jean overalls, winter boots, a black short sleeve t-shirt, and a green John Deere baseball hat.

Fackler suffers from Alzheimer’s and dementia, police said.

He left a residence in Mayville in a dark blue 2006 Chevrolet Silverado Pickup Truck with a license plate BYL 6796.

A resident saw Fackler's pickup truck on the shoulder of I-75 in Clarkston and called police. An Oakland County deputy responded and found Fackler in the truck, police said.

Fackler was taken to a nearby hospital for an exam and his family has been notified.

The last time Fackler went missing he was found in Kentucky.
