SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

The MSU Fight Song is coming to an end, kinda.

Michigan State is celebrating the 100 anniversary of the song, and the 100th homecoming game on Saturday. To coincide with the big event, the fight song, titled “MSU Fight Song” has been renamed to “Victory for MSU”.

MSU made the announcement with the release of its first ever virtual choir. Basically it’s dozens of MSU fans and alumni singing the song, or course with several appearances of Sparty.

The song was written in 1915 by Arthur Sayles and composed by Francis Irving Lankey.
