For 27 years, Enrique Diemecke has been entertaining audiences at the Whiting, and this year will be no different as they present Fate: Adventures of a Hero.

Music flows through every fiber of Diemecke's being.

"When it goes inside of me is a passion and love music gives me," Diemecke said.

The Mexican conductor has entertained audiences of the Flint Symphony Orchestra for nearly three decades.

His passion, unique style, and well-known sense of humor keep crowds coming back year after year.

"When I engage them and they deliver an interpretation and they all want to do it," Diemecke said.

Diemecke said this year's series - a collection of concerts showcasing a heroic journey, titled “Fate: Adventures of a Hero” – will hit a familiar note with the people of Flint.

"It's a moment to boost up the heroism we all have inside ourselves and be good about it, it’s a lot to talk about Flint," Diemecke said.

Diemecke couldn't miss an opportunity to perform. He said he owes a lot of gratitude to the city of Flint for allowing him to do what he loves.

"I would love to stay here as long as my life permits because it really is coming the greatest time of my life," Diemecke said.

Diemecke will conduct 11 concerts at the Whiting, and tickets start at just $8.
