MIDLAND, MI (WNEM) -

Hundreds of new vehicles are in town for to check out this weekend at the Northwood University International Auto Show.

The show, now in its 52nd year, is run entirely by students, like Leann Colella.

She is one of 600 students helping to put on the event.

“There are other student auto shows around the nation but we are definitely the largest and we are very proud of that title,” Colella said.

With more than 65 manufacturers and 500 vehicles on display, this is also the largest outdoor new car show in North America.

"It's a major operation this gets you going you network you have to bring cars up here make everything come together," said Northwood University student, Richard Durso.

Northwood students said working on the show is a one of a kind experience when it comes to preparing them for their future jobs.

"My dream is to work for GM for auto shows. This is a gateway to my career," Durso said.
