LANSING, MI (AP) -

A 50-year-old man has pleaded guilty in the theft of a Girl Scout's money during a cookie drive outside a south Lansing Kmart.

Thomas Dawkins, of DeWitt Township, pleaded guilty to two counts of larceny Monday. Prosecutors say Dawkins snatched a cash box with hundreds of dollars from the girl's table, where she was selling cookies on March 29 and ran off.

He is scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 12. He faces a maximum of 10 years in prison.
