LANSING, MI (WNEM) -

She may now be one of the wealthiest grandmas in the state.

"Grandma's rich. I've heard that one," said Julie Leach.

Leach, a factory worker from Three Rivers, just south of Kalamazoo, is the winner of a $310.5 million Powerball lottery jackpot.

The first thing she did? Leave her job.

"I quit automatically," Leach said, laughing. "I was done."

Leach said it's still hard to believe she won.

"I keep going to sleep and keep waking up with the same beautiful dream. I'm starting to realize this might be real," Leach said.

The mother of two and grandmother to many became emotional while talking with reporters.

Leach said, with her winnings, it means her family will be set for life.

"I'm going to take care of my kids," Leach said. "I don't want them to work the way I had to work and deal with the things I had to deal with over life. I just want to make it a good life for them."

And her message to her now former boss?

"I let him know I don't need that raise now. Oh, and by the way, I quit," Leach said.

Leach took a one-time lump payment of $197.4 million, about $140 million after taxes.
