CLIO, MI (WNEM) -

For the second time this week a school district on heightened alert after a suspicious situation involving a student.

At 6:50 a.m. Thursday morning a Clio middle school student was waiting for her bus on Webster Road between Francis and Dodge when she said a white panel van with a blue, curved stripe stopped near her after driving by a couple of times.

The student claims that a man in dark clothing got out of the van and ran towards her.

The student ran back to her home and her mom called police. The Genesee County Sheriff’s Department is investigating and is asking anyone with information to call local police of the sheriff.

On Tuesday, Oct. 13, Kearsley schools posted on its website that a suspicious man was spotted around a student at the corner of Genesee Road and Esta Drive in Genesee County.

The posting said that an older white man with silver hair followed a high school student as he walked down Genesee Road.

The man was driving a white, four-door vehicle. He apparently did not attempt to speak to the student.
