Waterspout spotted on the Great Lakes

Posted: Updated:

We may not live on the ocean, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have waterspouts.

Michigan Department of Transportation worker Creig Lambert spotted one on Lake Superior Thursday.

He took the picture at around 2:45 p.m. in Marquette County.

"I was working on US-41 just west of Marquette and was able to snap a few photos of it. It lasted maybe 20-25 minutes before dissipating. First one I’ve ever seen," said Lambert.
