Man becomes face of Michigan's loss to Michigan State

SAGINAW TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

A few days ago, Chris Baldwin was a relatively unknown sophomore at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

"Instantly after the game I was getting texts," Baldwin said.

But Saturday evening everything changed.

"I am apparently some celebrity that people want to know stuff about. It's just crazy," Baldwin said.

Crazy. In the final moments of the Michigan-Michigan State football game, Michigan was only seconds away from the win.

But then, a fumble by Michigan’s punter was returned for a touchdown and Michigan State pulled out the win.

Chris Baldwin’s reaction in the stands became the symbol of Saturday’s shocking loss. The Saginaw Township native holding his hands against his head has become an internet sensation.

He said he recently found out a company in Ohio is even planning to print t-shirts with that image on the front.
