Tree farm making one-of-a-kind wreaths for Christmas

Michelle Decoster loves this time of year.

"It's just a tradition for so many people," Decoster said. "This will be our 40th year."

It’s more than 50 days from Christmas and some busy hands are creating some one-of-a-kind decorations, which has become a tradition.

With more than 70 acres of land as her playground, the Runyans' Tree Farm in Clio is the perfect place to find a wreath.

"The traditional wreath is a round ring which signifies the crown of thrones around Jesus’s head and we put red berries on, and that signifies his blood," Decoster said.

What's really cool about getting a wreath here at Runyans is that you can pick up your own wreath and you can take it inside and show this wreath to the workers here and you can decorate it yourself.

"We actually let the children get into it they pick the ornaments and they will pick what they want to go on the wreath," Decoster said.

Decoster expects to sell more than 200 wreaths – which are all original pieces – along with array of various holiday handcrafted toys and nick-nacks.

"We have so many types of decorations and berries that it's just so much fun," Decoster said.
