Clearing up storage space on your iPhone

Are you receiving notifications on your iPhone that you don’t have enough storage to back it up?

There could be a simple solution that lies within your messaging app.

Everything you’ve shared with your friends is tucked away in a hidden folder on your phone and it takes up storage space.

In order to get rid of these messages you go to your phone’s settings, click general, then storage and cloud, then manage storage.

TV5’s David Custer went through the steps on his phone. His messaging app was taking up 1.1 gigs of memory. It was the second highest memory usage on his phone.

You can’t just delete your messages to make the memory usage go down. You have to go to the message thread, click details, hold your finger down on the individual picture or media you want to delete until a menu pops up, and then click delete.

If you want to delete a mass number of messages, hold your finger on the message again and click more. Then select more than one picture and click the trash button at the bottom.

This simple process could free up a lot of storage on your phone and maybe even allow you to use all of your apps and camera without any hiccups.
